I read your letter, and it seems that your land lord. is just taking you for a ride.
In a 6 months or a years lease. That you signed. The landlord can not raise your rent. at no time during the lease. If the lease is month to month then your up a creek.
But if your lease has run out then he can change it to suit him-self.
The good news is for you is, is he will have to take legal action on you. He will have to file at the court's. and then he has to give you 30 days for each child in the home. Before he can have you evected. If he gets mad. Just tell him you'll see a lawyer and sue him for breaking the lease the period before.
He broke the lease when he raised your rent with out having you sign a NEW lease. [ If he does not have you sign a new lease then he is in void of the contract, not you].
Pluse he can not charge you, rent for the time it take you to move. But i would move any way's. He sounds like a real ----
